Prerequisites and Other Resources
To get the most out of this course, make sure that your student is comfortable with the following skills:
Recognize a fractional piece of an object and be able to write that fraction.
Correctly use the terms "numerator" and "denominator".
Recognize equivalent fractions (eg. 3/4=6/8) and be able to explain them to others.
Locate a fraction on the number line between 0 and 1.
If your student isn't comfortable with those fraction skills, then you might consider signing up for Fraction Ninja Bootcamp 1.
If your student is comfortable converting between fractions and mixed numbers and comparing the size of fractions, then you might consider skipping to Fraction Ninja Bootcamp 3 (coming soon) where we learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions.
